*COVID-19 UPDATE*

Dear Members

Glen Arven remains open for dining, golf and tennis.  However, with the quickly evolving national crisis, we are implementing some additional changes to continue in our effort to provide the Best option for dining and entertainment in our area…FOR OUR MEMBERS.
Therefore, in our effort to protect our members and employees, effective March 18th and until further notice, we are only allowing members and immediate family guests to utilize our services.  Stated another way, we will not allow non-immediate family guests to utilize our dining, golf or tennis facilities including lessons for the foreseeable future.  Accordingly all group events have been cancelled until at least April 15.

Other steps that we are taking in addition to hyper-cleaning our facilities and shrinking our “circle” to members only include the following:
  • We are implementing a special curbside, drive-thru, member charge pick up meal service
  • We are utilizing our entire clubhouse and outside areas to spread out tables to maintain the recommended 6- foot buffer.
  • We encourage making reservations for dinner if at all possible so that we can monitor crowd size.
  • Sunday buffet will be replaced by other options.
  • Until further notice there will be no group golf or tennis clinics for anyone under the age of 10.
    • Individual lessons for under 10s are still available
  • Clinics for those over 10 years old will be limited in scope.  Please contact professional staff for further information.
  • Golf bag storage will not be available after the next time your clubs are used (no need to pick them up).

Unfortunately we must postpone the Member Guest golf tournament on April 15-18.  However, we have established a new date of May 27-30.  Please notify Brooke Braswell if you know that you are not able to play on those dates.  Obviously all of this is subject to adjustment if the situation dictates.

Parents please remember that we are not encouraging grouping of kids or adults.  While school is out it will be tempting for kids to congregate at the club or otherwise.  Please remember that we are encouraging the utilization of Glen Arven, but only for its intended purpose of dining, golf and tennis.

Lastly, I want to encourage you to utilize Glen Arven in the ways that you are most comfortable be it pick-up, dine-in, golf or tennis.  It is the Board’s intention to continue paying our wonderful staff so it is important that we continue to generate revenue as long as it is safe to do so.  Additional communications will be coming from dining, golf and tennis to expand on our new offerings and procedures.

Thank you for being a valued member of Glen Arven.   Please know that your Board is doing everything we can to first protect our members and staff, and second to keep Glen Arven open and operating.  Please do your part by using common sense and following the recommendations of the CDC.
