Tennis & Pickleball Rules

1. Tennis playing privileges are available to full members of GACC and their accompanied guests.

2. Guest Privileges:  Tennis facilities at Glen Arven are available and maintained for use by and for ITS MEMBERS.   Invited guests may use the club's tennis facilities with certain restrictions.

a. The Member is responsible for registering guests with the Pro to insure the proper billing of guest fees from Club office.

b. Guests are limited to four (4) visits per year (Not including GACC sanctioned  tournaments).

c. Social Members may play tennis at GACC under the guidelines and restrictions of a regular guest including the paying of court fees of $15.00 per guest. Play may not exceed four (4) times per year.

d. In the event a member is unavailable to substitute for a regularly scheduled GA-FLA Tennis League match, or any club-sponsored competition, a non-member may play as the guest of the member-partner.  In such a case, (1) the guest fee is applicable, and (2) the team member will register the guest with the Tennis Pro to insure proper billing. The privilege of using guests as substitutes should not be abused.

3. Anyone not registering before play may be subject to a $15.00 court fee.

4. Non-members may not take lessons on Glen Arven tennis facilities at any time unless otherwise requested by the Tennis Professional and the General Manager and approved by the Board of Governors.
5. Occasionally, the tennis facilities may be reserved for a special community event if sponosored by a Member and approved by the Tennis Committee and the Board of Governors. The request form the sponsoring organization shoudl be submitted in writing no less than sixty (60) days before the date of the event.

1. The United States Tennis Association Rules and Code are in effect at all times.

2. All players must register on the sign-in board before beginning play.

3. Appropriate tennis clothing, including tennis shoes, must be worn at all times on the tennis courts.  No bathing suits, cut-offs, tank-tops, etc. are allowed.

4. Pets or other animals are not permitted on the tennis courts.

5. Improper etiquette or conduct on the tennis courts or on the sideline will not be tolerated.

6. The Tennis Professional and the General Manager are authorized and directed to enforce the tennis rules and policies established by the Board of Governors.  All Members and guests are expected to cooperate.

7. Members are financially responsible for any damage to facilities incurred by themselves, their guests, their children or pets.

1. The hours of operation for the tennis facility are posted on the Glen Arven website.

2. The Tennis Professional may close the courts or limit play due to weather, condition of courts, or other circumstances deemed in the best interest of the players and/or the facilities.

3. Players should take care to turn off all court lights when leaving the complex after evening matches.

4. Playing time is limited to 1 1/2 hours for singles; 2 hours for doubles.  Players should vacate courts promptly when their court time is up, so that the next players can start on time.

5. Court reservations may be made by calling the Tennis Pro Shop no more than one (1) day in advance.  Reservations always have priority.  The Tennis Pro will handle any disputes over reservations.

6. Tournaments and scheduled social activities (except lessons) will have priority over all other play.  Adult play has priority over teaching on clay surfaces.

7. Adults have priority over Junior players at all times (except scheduled Junior tournaments, etc.). Junior players who are playing with adults are afforded the same privileges as the adult with whom they are playing.  (An adult is defined as a dues-paying member).
